How to Install & Configure Smart STB on Your Smart TV

Step 1: Install the Smart STB App

  1. Open your Smart TV’s app store (Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Philips, Android TV, etc.).
  2. Search for Smart STB and install it.

Step 2: Activate the Free Trial

  1. Launch Smart STB after installation.
  2. Navigate to Settings → Device Info and note down your Software MAC and Virtual MAC addresses.
  3. Visit the Smart STB website, go to TRY & BUY → MY LICENSE, and register/log in to access your 7‑day free trial.

Step 3: Add Your IPTV Portal

  1. In the app, go to System Settings → Portals.
  2. Enable “Multi‑Portal” mode (if available).
  3. Choose a portal slot, toggle it On, and enter:
    • Name: any label (e.g., “Home IPTV”)
    • URL: your provider's portal URL (typically a Ministra/Stalker link)
  4. Provide your Virtual MAC to the IPTV provider to activate the portal.
  5. Save settings and restart the app.

Step 4: Enjoy IPTV Features

Upon restarting, the app will load your portal—displaying live channels, VOD, EPG guide, and channel logos (picons).

Step 5: Upgrade Your License (Optional)

To continue after the trial:

  1. Log into your Smart STB account online.
  2. Go to MY LICENSE, select your active license, and click Upgrade.
  3. Choose your preferred plan (monthly, yearly, lifetime).
  4. Once upgraded, the license status changes to “Paid”, and the app remains fully active.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • No video or authentication errors? Re‑check your portal URL and MAC address.
  • App stuck in demo mode? Ensure you’ve activated and correctly entered your portal settings.
  • Can't launch custom portal? Confirm the Virtual MAC has been registered with your provider.
  • Restarting the app after changes is essential.
